Kitty Litter Express

Well I survived my first day on the road. We left yesterday morning after trying to fit a small apartments worth of stuff into the trunk of Megan's car, plus the two cats in the back seat. It was hard for Megan to say goodbye, as she has been there forever, but we finally moved forward.
First stop- McDonalds. We get some happy meals and then hit the freeway. We arrived in Connecticut in just under three hours to say goodbye to her mother and sister. Scarfed down a sub while we were there, and then hit the road again. Next stop- Brooklyn, where her brother lives. Made it there in about 2 hours. They do some catching up and then we head for the trains to go get some dinner and search for Roscoe. For those of you who aren't familiar with Roscoe yet, visit oddtodd.com. Anyhow, our plan was to head to the local bar where Roscoe's owner brings him in while he grabs a beer.

But before all that, we found a verizon store so we could get a wireless aircard for Megan's computer so we can update our blog as we are on the road. The store had this crazy setup where she had to sign in for customer service to help her. There were 3 people ahead of her in the queue, and after waiting for 40 minutes for these 3 people to be helped, turns out NONE of them were even in the store anymore, so Megan quickly jumpted to the front of the line. Aircard in hand, we headed for dinner. Found a cute little place in Brooklyn called BarTabac. DELISH!

Then we headed towards Brooklyn Inn, the bar that we were hoping to say hello to Roscoe at. He wasn't there, but it ended up being a cute little bar where we hung out and watched her brother make Dr.Phil impersoniations.....

We did a good job getting up early today and right now we are on our way to have breakfast at Juniors. For those of you who have watched P.Diddy's making the band, this is the place where he made the boys walk to and bring him back cheesecake or something like that. Well that is what Megan told me. I'm not very clear on the whole story. Look forward to seeing more postings from us now since we have internet and stuff in the car.

Ciao for now.

Oprah and Gail's cross-country trip has *nothing* on you two! And it's only day 2.

I figured Megan was a little stressed when she titled her post about her kitties, and then put up pictures of not-kitties. "Can she no longer tell a cat from a dog???" Sorry she had to leave her friend behind; a tough, heart-breaking but good decision.

"The cats don't like driving in the car." Well, I personally wouldn't let them do too much of the driving.

Stay safe.
